Did you guess the first novel?

It was To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. You may have recognised Scout’s famous shoulder of ham costume. In this scene, Jem and Scout are walking home from their Halloween pageant at school, just before they’re attacked by Mr. Ewell.

twelfth night

Next up, Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, did you guess correctly?

We featured a scene from Act II where Viola and Orsino talk about love and argue whether men or women are more capable of such emotion. It’s a fiery scene!

great expectations

Our final illustration is Dickens’ classic, Great Expectations, featuring main character Pip and his sidekick Magwitch trying to make their way through the marshes in a rickety old rowing boat. They are later betrayed by Compeyson, who appears through the fog in a police boat.

Good luck with your revision and your exams!
